Content is generated by a collaboration of photographers, guide authors local experts, state-wide taxon experts, reviewers, and editors. This page acknowledges many of our contributors, and describes what is required to copy materials found on PlantID.net to include in your own non-commercial work.

Database information

Thanks to calflora.org, wildflowersearch.com, the Jepson Herbarium, NRDB.org and bonap.org for making their database information available for this site. Database information provides the core structure that allows us to link photos and descriptions into Plant ID Lists.

ID description sources

Wikipedia and U.C. Jepson EFlora are frequently checked for plant facts, but information also comes from dozens of experts, books and other websites. Our goal is to copy facts - please let us know if you feel we have copied phrases too directly from any source.
