Local Plant ID Lists
This is a menu that presents hundreds of locations
around California. Choose one that
matches where you are to get a Plant ID List that has only the plants you’ll
find around you.

Main Features
My County – choose your local county to show locations in
your county first.
List Name – Type in part of the guide or park name and then
<Enter> or <Go> to reduce the list to titles that include your
phrase.
Show Shared Lists – Click this checkbox to see lists that have been
shared with the public but haven’t yet been reviewed and published.
View as Map – click this to see the menu presented as a
map. You can then click a dot on the map
to get to the list you’re looking for.
Other Useful Information
You can click column headers to sort the list by
County, Type, or Title.
What’s a Type? Park lists
are complete checklists, showing every plant at the location. Guides cover a smaller set of plants, and
provide extra information about each one.
Glossary Menu – Click this to see a menu of Glossary Terms
defined in PlantID.net.
List Contains - You can search through all the text in each Plant
ID List to find, say, all the lists that mention Buttercup.

Authors
If you’re logged in, you’re allowed to write or
import your own Plant ID Lists. These additional links let you do that.
Build New ID Guide – Create your own ID Guide. It starts off as a personal guide, but you
can work with PlantID.net Reviewers to get it published.
Build New Checklist – Use this to import a complete checklist from an
area you know well.
Filter Menu allows you to choose custom search filters for lists
or guides you’re building.
