Add What You Know To PlantID.net
PlantID.net is a community project that builds on
the contributions of others.
You can share what you know so others can enjoy
learning it:
·
If you see a mistake,
an awkward phrase, or an opportunity to add a new fun fact, email Bruce.
This is especially important now, as we’re adding so much new descriptive
content.
·
Write a short article
comparing similar plants you know about. For instance, see http://classic.plantid.net/LinkArticles/Manroots.htm
comparing Manroots. Send it to Bruce and he’ll link it to the
appropriate plants to show in the Plant Page.
·
Create your own
Illustrated Plant List easily with Clipboard to ID. For instance enter the plants you’ll find at
your local stream restoration project.
Collaborate with Bruce to publish your list if you think others would
like to see it.
Consider adding local park and CNPS plant lists.
·
Collaborate with
Bruce on photo essays. We’ve got good
numbers of photos and database facts but we need more stories and fun ID tips
to make compelling presentations.
o
Send materials you
think would be useful.
o
Review new photo
essays for clarity and accuracy. My
biggest fear is my descriptions will not be as reliable as the database and
photo ID information is.
