  • I always light up when I see the 3s of Trillium - 3 leaves, 3 petals, and 3 green sepals just below the flower.
  • The flower often smells sweet and can be yellow, pink, purple or white.
  • Found in moist shady forests, Wakerobin associates with redwoods.

Look for 3 leaves, 3 sepals and 3 petals. Flowers are generally purple. The leaves can be purple-blotched.



At 2 or more inches across, this flower is fairly large, but much smaller than the wide 8-inch-long leaves that surround it.



Wakerobin is found in groups, low to the ground, in moist shady woods.
