This striking flower grows low to the ground. Each petal has two rounded lobes.



Leaf-like sepals stick directly out from red rose hips. Both sepals and rose hip are covered in gland-tipped hairs - a good ID mark.



Prickles are slender and straight. Compound leaflets are oval with ragged teeth.
