Flowers are the delphinium shape, with a spur behind and two long vertical "petals" in front. This species has a dense cluster of flowers at the top of a 2-foot stem.
Leaves are interesting - first divided into
lobes
, and then often redivided into fingers on each lobe.
Found in dry sandy soils in foothills.
