Hawksbeard has many erect branching stems, each ending in a dandelion-like flower.
Below the flowers is a significant collection of irregularly-shaped
basal
leaves, about a foot long.
Found in the foothills (3,000 - 9,000 feet), on rocky hillsides and open areas.
